This week, Simply Be launched their “Fashion Strong” clothing line, which has been created in conjunction with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. Up until 31/05/2017, 30% of each sale from this 19-piece bespoke range will go to charity, Breast Cancer Now. A spokesperson for Simply Be has told All Woman Magazine that any stock still available after this date will continue to be sold, but without the donation.
Breast Cancer Now
Breast Cancer Now has an action plan, which aims to stop the disease taking lives by 2050. Amongst other initiatives, the charity is working to increase awareness and raise money for research. They currently fund £26 million worth of grants at over 30 institutions across the UK and Ireland and are focussed on tackling four key areas; risk and prevention, early detection and diagnosis, treatment and secondary breast cancer.
Fashion Targets Breast Cancer
Since being founded by Ralph Lauren in 1996, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has raised over £14 million for breast cancer. Over the years, the campaign has been supported by an array of famous female celebrities, including Naomi Campbell, Kylie Minogue, Twiggy and Jessica Ennis-Hill. This year, in addition to Simply Be, there are four other UK retailers – Marks & Spencer, River Island, Debenhams and Topshop – who are also partnering with the organisation.
